Order Cancellation & Rejection

At Z&G, we strive to provide exceptional service and high-quality products to our valued customers. However, there may be occasions where we need to cancel or reject an order. As such, we reserve the right to cancel or reject any order at our sole discretion, without providing an explanation.

• Discretionary Right: Z&G reserves the right to cancel or reject any order at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice or explanation.

• Customer Notification: In the event that an order is cancelled or rejected, we will notify the customer via the contact information provided during the order process.

• Payment & Pickup: The prepayment secures your booking, with the remaining balance due in cash upon vehicle pickup.

• Changes: Modifications to your booking are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

• No-Show Policy: Failure to collect the vehicle at the agreed time without prior notice may result in forfeiture of the prepayment.

Insurance & Liability

All cars come with default Third Party Insurance — Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W) with Excess. Please note this coverage does not include damage to windows, windscreen, glass, interior, personal belongings, wheels and/or tyres, the roof or undercarriage, side mirrors, and headlamps.

Covers the driver's liability for injuries and property damage included in the policy. Does not cover injuries to the driver or damage to the rental car. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement.

Excess Liability:

• Compact cars: €800

• Medium cars: €1,050

• 6–8 Seaters: €1,500

This cover does not include other parts of the car (e.g. windows, wheels, interior or undercarriage), charges (e.g. towing or off-road time), or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices, or personal belongings).

Renter's Responsibility:

• Fully responsible for damage due to negligence, misuse, or mistakes.

• Must refuel with the correct fuel type.

Insurance is VOID if:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Driving off-road or on unpaved roads.

• Driven by an unauthorised driver not listed in the rental agreement.

• Illegal use, racing, towing, or misuse.

Permitted Use of the Vehicle

The vehicle must not be used for:

• Delivery services of any kind, including food delivery, courier services, or parcel transportation.

• Transporting passengers for hire, including ride-sharing, taxi operations, or shuttle services.

• Conducting safaris, off-road driving, or any activity that subjects the vehicle to excessive wear and tear.

• Any form of racing, speed testing, or other competitive activities.

• Transporting illegal substances, hazardous materials, or engaging in any unlawful activities.

Fair Use Policy for Unlimited Kilometres

• The unlimited kilometre policy is intended for reasonable personal use within standard travel limits.

• Excessive mileage deemed beyond normal use, such as continuous long-distance travel without breaks, may be subject to additional charges.

• The Company reserves the right to investigate excessive usage patterns and charge additional fees if deemed necessary.

• The Renter must inform the Company if they plan to drive the vehicle extensively beyond a reasonable limit to avoid potential penalties.

Price Calculation & Payment

Prices are based on the pick-up and drop-off times and dates agreed before your rental starts. If you pick the car up later or return it earlier, you will not receive a refund for unused time.

All rental costs are payable upon collection of the vehicle in € (Euro) by cash or major Credit/Debit card. Bank transfer is also accepted — after booking, request our company bank details for the transfer.

Cancellation Policy

• Full Refund (48 Hours Notice): Cancel at least 48 hours before pick-up for a full refund. Call +357 96 105111 / +357 97 740019 or email info@zgcyprusrental.com.

• Partial Refund (Less Than 48 Hours): Refund minus the charge for the first 3 days of your rental.

• No Refund for No-Shows: No refunds if you fail to pick up at the scheduled time.

• No Refund for Missing/Expired Documents: Driver's licence, ID, voucher, or credit card expired or missing — no refund issued.

Flight Details

If arriving by plane, please inform us of your arrival flight number and provide a mobile number, even a few hours before your rental starts. Without this we cannot be held responsible if your plane is delayed and your car is unavailable. Please use your flight number, not any confirmation number the airline may have sent you.

Traffic Fines

All traffic fines incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the hirer.

Drink Driving

Loss of Keys

If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the full cost of replacement plus any loss incurred by us.

Battery, Lockout & Tyre Issues

Roadside assistance is provided within and around Paphos. Additional charges may apply if you are outside Paphos, depending on distance. Response times may vary depending on location and traffic conditions.

Service Costs:

• Drained Battery (lights left on): €25 + fuel consumption for jump-start assistance.

• Locking Keys Inside the Car: €90 + fuel consumption for lockout assistance.

• Tyre Puncture (can be inflated or replaced with spare): €25 + fuel consumption.

• Damaged Tyre (hit or burst): Renter is responsible for the cost of a new tyre.

Valeting Fee — Smoking & Cleanliness

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rental vehicles. Failure to comply will result in a cleaning fee of €40 to €150, depending on the extent of cleaning required to restore the vehicle to its pre-rental condition. This fee also applies for any other reason requiring cleaning beyond standard fair wear and tear.

Loss of Equipment Charges

If you lose any hired equipment, the following charges apply:

• Baby seat: €120

• Child seat: €120

• GPS device: €120

Seatbelts

The driver and all passengers must wear seatbelts at all times.

Pets

Pets are strictly prohibited during the rental period. Violation of this policy may result in a fine of up to €200.

Travel to Northern Cyprus

Age Restrictions & Driving Licence

Age Requirements:

• Minimum age in Cyprus is 21. The driver must have held a valid driving licence for at least 3 years.

• Maximum age in Cyprus is 70.

• Drivers aged 25–75: no extra fees.

• Extra insurance (€5–€10/day) required for drivers aged 21–24 or 76–85 (if accepted).

• Specialty and larger vehicles require a minimum age of 25.

Driving Licence Requirements:

• Must be original, unexpired, and in good condition.

• Must be valid for the entire rental period.

• Temporary Licences: Accepted only if presented alongside the original expired or voided licence.

• Unacceptable Licences: Photocopies, digital licences, learner's permits, or licences with restrictions are not accepted.

• Additional Identification: A valid passport and/or identification card is required.

• Language Requirement: Licence must be written in the Roman Alphabet (English).

Compliance with Local Laws:

Renters must follow all Cyprus licensing and traffic laws throughout the rental period.
