All car rentals, car hire are subject to the Terms and Conditions as laid out here below.
At Z&G, we strive to provide exceptional service and high-quality products to our valued customers. However, there may be occasions where we need to cancel or reject an order. As such, we reserve the right to cancel or reject any order at our sole discretion, without providing an explanation.
Discretionary Right: Z&G reserves the right to cancel or reject any order at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice or explanation.
Customer Notification: In the event that an order is canceled or rejected, we will notify the customer via the contact information provided during the order process.
Payment & Pickup: The prepayment secures your booking, with the remaining balance due in cash upon vehicle pickup.
Changes: Modifications to your booking are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
No-Show Policy: Failure to collect the vehicle at the agreed time without prior notice may result in forfeiture of the prepayment.
Car Rental Vehicle Category & Availability
SIPP Codes System – Vehicles are categorized using the Standard Interline Passenger Procedure (SIPP) codes, an industry-standard classification method.
Booking by Category, Not Model – Reservations are made for a vehicle group/category, not a specific model. The displayed car is an example of what you might receive.
Subject to Availability – While every effort is made to provide the booked category, availability may vary at the time of pickup.
Free Upgrade Policy – If your selected model/group is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, Z&G Rental reserves the right to provide a free upgrade to a higher category.
No Extra Charge – Even if an upgrade is provided, the original rental rate remains the same—you won’t pay extra for the higher-category vehicle.
Cancellation Policy
Full Refund (48 Hours Notice) – You can cancel your reservation and receive a full refund if done at least 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up time. Simply call +357 96105111 +357 97 740019 to cancel or SEND US AN EMAIL TO INFO@ZGCYPRUSRENTAL.COM
Partial Refund (Less Than 48 Hours Notice) – If you cancel within 48 hours, you’ll be refunded the amount you paid minus the charge for the first 3 days of your rental.
No Refunds for No-Shows – No refunds will be given if you fail to pick up your rental at the scheduled time (no-show).
No Refunds for Missing or Expired Documents – If your driver’s license, ID, or other required documents (voucher, credit card, etc.) are expired or missing, no refund will be issued
€30 pre-booking fee on cash payment !
The €30 pre-booking fee is refundable only if cancellation is made within 24 hours of payment. If cancellation occurs after 24 hours, an administration fee will apply, and the pre-booking fee becomes non-refundable.
Flight Details
Flight Details – If you are arriving by plane, it is better to inform us of your arrival flight number and give us a mobile number even a few hours before your rental to start. If you do not, we cannot be held responsible if your plane is delayed and as a result your car is not available. Please ensure that you enter your flight number and not any other number the airline may have sent you, such as a confirmation number.

24HR Breakdown Assistance
Insurance C.D.W (Collision damage waiver with excess)
Third Party Insurance – C.D.W: Collision Damage Waiver with Excess (does not cover any damage which was caused to the windows, windscreen, glass, interior, personal belongings, wheels and/or tyres, the roof or undercarriage, side mirrors, and headlamps).
Change of the car in case of mechanical breakdown (only if the breakdown occurred from unforeseeable events)
If you’d like extra insurance (SCDW) with a lower deductible than the standard CDW (Third Party Insurance), you can add it for a small fee. This coverage will protect your car from damage to the body, windows, windscreen, wheels, and tires, as well as the roof and undercarriage, side mirrors, and headlamps. It’s only available to customers aged 25 to 71.
Price Calculation
Prices are based on the pick-up and drop-off times and dates that you agree before your rental starts. If you pick the car up any later or bring it back any earlier, you will not receive a refund for unused time
Payment
All rental costs are payable and must be completed upon collection (pick up) of the vehicle in € (euro) by cash or major Credit/Debit card. Additionally a Bank transfer can be used in which case, after your booking please request our company’s Bank details for your transfer.
All cars come with default Third Party Insurance – Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W) with Excess. Please note that this coverage does not include damage to windows, windscreen, glass, interior, personal belongings, wheels and/or tires, the roof or undercarriage, side mirrors, and headlamps.
Covers damages caused to other parties, not to the rental car itself.
Covers the driver’s liability for any injuries and property damage that are included in the policy. It does not cover injuries to the driver or damage to the rental car. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement.
Excess liability applies:
If the car’s bodywork gets damaged, the most you’ll pay towards repairs covered by the Collision Damage Waiver is the damage excess
Compact cars: €800
Medium cars €1050
6-8 Seaters €1500
This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement. It doesn’t cover other parts of the car (e.g. windows, wheels, interior or undercarriage), or charges (e.g. for towing or off-road time), or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings).
Renter’s Responsibility:
Fully responsible for damage due to negligence, misuse, or mistakes.
Must refuel with the correct gas type.
Insurance Limitations (VOID if violated)
Driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
Driving off-road or on unpaved roads.
Unauthorized drivers (not listed in the rental agreement).
Illegal use, racing, towing, or misuse.
Permitted Use of the Vehicle
Delivery services of any kind, including but not limited to food delivery, courier services, or parcel transportation.
Transporting passengers for hire, including but not limited to ride-sharing services, taxi operations, or shuttle services.
Conducting safaris, off-road driving, or any activity that subjects the vehicle to excessive wear and tear.
Any form of racing, speed testing, or other competitive activities.
Transporting illegal substances, hazardous materials, or engaging in any unlawful activities.
Fair Use Policy for Unlimited Kilometers
The unlimited kilometer policy is intended for reasonable personal use within standard travel limits.. Excessive mileage deemed beyond normal use, such as continuous long-distance travel without breaks, may be subject to additional charges.. The Company reserves the right to investigate excessive usage patterns and charge additional fees if deemed necessary.. The Renter must inform the Company if they plan to drive the vehicle extensively beyond a reasonable limit to avoid potential penalties.
TRAFFIC FINES
All traffic fines incurred will be the responsibility of the HIRER.
DRINK DRIVING
Drink driving is not permitted at anytime in any vehicle, if you do so a penalty of €1000 will be immediately charged and the Contract between Z&G Rental and the HIRER will be terminated.
Loss of Keys
Loss of Keys – If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement and the loss to us.
Battery, Lockout & Tire Issues
Roadside Assistance for Hirer’s Mistakes: Battery, Lockout & Tire Issues
Service Area – Assistance is provided within and around Paphos. Additional charges may apply if you are outside Paphos depending on the distance.
Response Time – Our team will aim to assist you as quickly as possible, but response times may vary depending on location and traffic conditions.
Service Costs
Drained Battery (if you leave the lights on): €25 + fuel consumption for jump-start assistance.
Locking Keys Inside the Car: €90 + fuel consumption for lockout assistance.
Tire Puncture (if the tire can be inflated or replaced with a spare): €25 + fuel consumption.
Damaged Tire (hit or burst): Renter is responsible for the cost of a new tire.
Valeting Fee – Smoking
Please be informed that smoking is strictly prohibited in our rental cars. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a cleaning fee ranging from €40 to €150, depending on the extent of cleaning required to restore the vehicle to its pre-rental condition. This fee will apply for any reason other than smoking as well, if the vehicle requires more than the standard cleaning to account for fair wear and tear. Your cooperation in maintaining the cleanliness of our vehicles is greatly appreciated.
LOSS OF EQUIPMENT CHARGES
If you lose any of the equipment that you hired as extra at the counter you will be charged: – for baby seat €120, for child seat €120 and for GPS €120.
Seatbelt
Seatbelt – Driver and passengers must wear seatbelts at all times.
Pets
Please be advised that pets are strictly prohibited during the rental period. Violation of this policy may result in a fine of up to 200 euros.
Occupied part of Cyprus(Northern Cyprus)
Important Notice Regarding Travel to the Occupied Northern Part of Cyprus ⚠️
No Insurance Coverage – Insurance companies do not cover vehicles rented for travel to the occupied northern part of Cyprus.
Additional Insurance Doesn’t Apply – Even with additional insurance acquired at checkpoints, coverage becomes null and void in this region.
No Assistance from Z&G Rental – Z&G Rental cannot assist with accidents or breakdowns in the occupied northern part.
Travel at Your Own Risk – Driving in this area is at your own risk, and you are fully accountable for any accidents, damages, or additional costs incurred.
Please take extra care when planning your route!
Age Restrictions
Minimum age in Cyprus is 21 and the driver has to be in possession of a valid driving license for at least 3 years. Maximum age in Cyprus is 70
Drivers must be 25-75 years old (no extra fees).
Extra insurance (5€-10€/day) for drivers 21-24 & 76-85 years old (If accepted)
Specialty & larger vehicles require a minimum age of 25.
Must be original, unexpired, and in good condition.
Valid for the entire rental period.
Temporary Licenses
Accepted only if presented with the original expired or voided license.
Unacceptable Licenses
Photocopies, digital licenses, learner’s permits, or licenses with restrictions are not accepted.
Additional Identification
A valid passport and/or identification card is required.
License Language Requirement
Must be written in the Roman Alphabet (English).
6. Compliance with Local Laws
Renters must follow all Cyprus licensing and traffic laws.
